MUX36S16IRSNR is a high-performance, low-skew, 36:16 multiplexing IC that belongs to the interface - analog switches, multiplexers, demultiplexers category. With its fast signal transmission, low propagation delay and low power consumption, it is widely used in communication and communication-related applications, such as HD video distribution, base station, radio frequency (RF) switching, and long-distance signal transmission.

MUX36S16IRSNR can support multiple signal connectivity and transmission with the integration of a 36:16 multiplexer and 16 high-performance transmitters. Thirty-six (36) differential transmitters can be connected to 36 separate input signals and routed to the 16 outputs. The input signals are connected to the driver, then routed to the multiplexer, and finally to the output pins. The signals are reconnected and transmitted through the multiplexer using its three-state logic control, thereby streamlined signal routing, reducing data transmission time. MUX36S16IRSNR also provides an extra 16-pin input/output resource for time-sensitive signals.

MUX36S16IRSNR’s architecture is designed for high-speed data transmission, with a high performance up to 26 Gbps data bandwidth. Its high level of integration allows for a highly efficient multiplexer with low power consumption. The multiplexer module has excellent signal integrity, low-jitter, wide temperature operating range, and immunity from electrostatic discharge (ESD). Its low skew and low clock/data-recovery threshold also guarantee reliable data transmission.

In addition to its highly efficient transmission capabilities, MUX36S16IRSNR’s other features also include incorporation of diagnostic features to monitor the status of the signals and detect any fault at the output. This enables the IC to notify the user of any errors, and shut down the circuit in the event of a fault, thus ensuring reliability and data integrity. MUX36S16IRSNR is also equipped with integrated safety features such as thermal shutdown and a quadruple layer of ESD protection (on input, output, power and differential control lines) for extra safety protection and system reliability.

With its great integration of multiplexer, transmitter, ESD protection and fault detection/protection mechanism, MUX36S16IRSNR is an ideal IC for many interface - analog switches, multiplexers, demultiplexers applications, in particular, those related to high-speed data transmission.
