Working Principle

The board works on a Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) principle, wherein the MC34063A IC regulates the input AC supply voltage and converts it into a stable regulated DC voltage output (5 or 12V). The board includes two protection circuits (powered by the B85102A circuit protection devices) that monitor the input power supply voltage and the output DC load current to prevent over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit conditions, and ensure the stability of the DC output voltage.The basic circuitry of the MV036F030M040-CB board consists of an input power supply section (including a power transformer), a full-wave bridge rectifier, a filter capacitor, an output power supply section (including two output voltage regulators), and an overload protection circuit.
