TVS – Diodes

Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) diodes are sleek, compact devices that protect electronic circuits from being damaged by excessive or unwanted voltage transients. Commonly referred to as lightning arresters, the MXL1.5KE100AE3 is a bidirectional, low capacitance, and high power transient voltage suppression diode.

MXL1.5KE100AE3 Application Field

Working Principle

When the voltage level exceeds its cut-off grade, the device goes into conduction mode and production of electron-hole pairs leads to the dissipation of transient voltage.
