NCP1589CMNTWG DC-DC Switching Controller

The NCP1589CMNTWG is a DC-DC switching converter designed for adjustable non-synchronous and current-mode operation. It is the improved version of the popular NCP1588DCMNT, and features a wide range of voltage and current control. Working Principle

The NCP1589CMNTWG DC-DC Switching Controller is designed to control DC/DC switching converters for voltage regulation. The NCP1589CMNTWG provides synchronous support for low output ripple and high efficiency, as well as non-synchronous fixed-frequency operation for wide range of switching frequencies.The controller is based on a voltage REG loop operating principle, where the image of the main inductor current is compared with a given reference to obtain a control signal. In current mode operation, the controller compares the image of the inductor current set point with the actual inductor current.
