Power Factor Correction (PFC) is a form of electronic power conditioning that helps regulate the voltage load distribution among different energy sources of a system. The prime objective of power factor correction is to reduce the current ripple in AC power systems and also to improve the quality of power which results in greater efficiency of the system.The NCP1612A2DR2G is a common integrated circuit device used in power factor correction applications. It is a full bridge pre-biased synchronous rectifier controller with low power standby mode.
