The NCP5217AGEVB evaluation board is suitable for a wide range of off-line DC/DC and AC/DC switch mode power supply (SMPS) applications. It features an integrated NCP5217 750mA/5V synchronous buck controller with EMI filter including high speed input ripple rejection, output voltage tracking and fault protection comparators. The board operates from a wide range input voltage range of up to 400V, is available in a small 3x4mm QFN-24 package, and has a no load start up current of only 105µA.

The NCP5217AGEVB can operate in either discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) or continuous conduction mode (CCM) and has an adjustable frequency range of 50kHz to 1MHz. It also features soft-start and current limit protection, which can be configured to prevent the device from exceeding the specified current limits. The evaluation board also includes an EMI filter which allows the design to meet EMC standards.
