NCP553SQ28T1 is a low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator with a fixed output voltage of 28V. It employs circuit protection features such as overcurrent protection (OCP), thermal shutdown (TSD) and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). It has minimum quiescent current (Iq) and superior power supply rejection ratio (PSRR), thus making it suitable for applications such as automotive, industrial and consumer.
The NCP553SQ28T1 is available in a TO-220-6L packages, operates over an extended temperature range of -40 ℃ to +125 ℃ and supports an input voltage range of 4 V to 40 V. It includes current-limiting and thermal shutdown protection, along with an adjustable output current that can be programmed from 0 mA to 700 mA.
Working Principle
Linear voltage regulators use a voltage reference as the voltage input and create a regulated output voltage.The linear regulators use negative feedback to produce the constant output voltage.
