Working Principle

The NSCSANN600MGUNV pressure sensor utilises a sensor that is designed to measure differential pressure. This pressure sensor consists of a Wheatstone bridge circuit, which measures the voltage across two resistors. The voltage across these two resistors correlates with the pressure applied to the Wheatstone bridge. This voltage is then processed by the signal conditioning circuitry within the integrated device, and converted to a 4mA to 20mA analog output signal that is proportional to the applied pressure.The Wheatstone bridge circuit utilises a strain gauge to measure the differential pressure. The strain gauge is connected to a metal housing, which is exposed to the applied pressure. When the applied pressure changes, the strain gauges deform, changing their resistance and thus the voltage across the bridge. This voltage is then amplified and converted to a 4mA to 20mA output by the integrated signal conditioning circuitry.
