Working Principle

The OM13070 evaluation board is designed based on the NXP LPC1300 series microcontroller. This implies that it will require a power supply of up to 3.3V in order to operate. Additionally, the board requires the presence of a debugger for proper use. The debugger functions as an interface between the evaluation board and a PC, enabling the transfer of instructions for controlling the microcontroller and data transmission.

Once power is applied to the board, the microcontroller will go through a power-on reset cycle and all of the peripherals attached to the board, such as the 9-axis motion sensor and accelerometer, will be initialized. The debug signals that are generated by the debugger are then sent to the evaluation board, enabling the debug mode and allowing commands to be programmed into the microcontroller. As these commands are executed, the board will enter into its ones’ state where it begins to carry out the instructions defined in the debug section.

Once the program has completed its operation, the evaluation board will enter into its idle state until another set of instructions is issued by the debugger. The evaluation board will then continue to execute the program until it is powered off or another set of commands is issued.
