The OMAP-L138 EZDSP Cortex A8 microcontroller is an advanced embedded processor designed to offer performance, high system integration and flexibility. It is the first processor in the OMAP family to use a low-power, high-performance ARM Cortex A8 core.

The OMAP-L138 EZDSP Cortex A8 microcontroller features an embedded 32-bit ARM Cortex A8 processor core with two ARM Thumb-2 instruction set architectures (ISA) and advanced on-chip SIMD co-processor support. An integrated 32-bit DDR2 memory controller, an embedded Performance Monitor Unit (PMU) and Power Management Unit (PMU) are features of the OMAP-L138 SoC. It also provides a comprehensive analog-to-digital converter (ADC) block, a 12-bit parallel data port (PDP) and a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet MAC with DMA support.
