It is suitable for operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C, and a range of materials and other obstacles can be detected.

The OMNIIRLRP system has three key components: the detector head, the controller and the receiver. The detector head is capable of both passive infrared and ultrasonic detection, with a maximum range of 10m and an adjustable spread of up to 93°. When an object or person passes by, the controller registers the detection and processes the signal, depending on the mode of operation. Depending on the configuration, the controller can send an output to the receiver, which can then activate the necessary machinery or device.

The detection of an object causes the controller to measure the concentration and the size of the object, and this data is used to determine the response and the length of the output signal. The controller can be scaled for use with multiple detectors, allowing the system to be tailored for a variety of applications and devices. The receiver is linked to the output of the controller and uses a voltage-free output to activate the connected device.
