TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diodes are semiconductor components fabricated with Zener, switching, and avalanche breakdown devices. Structurally, TVS diodes are even more intricate than standard Zener diode structures; they comprise a series of stacked Zener, avalanche and guard ring regions. This combination helps to protect circuits against overvoltage transients, and thus, withstand destructive electrical surges.

The P4KE75C is a Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diode, which is specially designed to protect sensitive electronic components from overvoltage transients such as lightning, electrostatic discharges, etc. It is designed with an inverted parallel connection which provides a wide range of junction capacitances and operating voltages. This makes it suitable for ESD protection in applications like equipment housing, portable electronics, and automotive subsystems.
