The P5020NSN1TNB is a member of the Power Architecture e500 family of embedded processors, designed to provide secure, reliable and energy efficient embedded processing power. The Power Architecture is an adaptable, extensible architecture that enables a flexible range of system-on-chip designs for secure embedded product platforms. The P5020NSN1TNB is an integrated, single-core processor for embedded system designs that require maximum performance-per-watt.

The P5020NSN1TNB performs best-in-class computing performance with a high-bandwidth, low-latency, Level 2 cache along with advanced application superscalar architecture. It supports more than double the frequency of its predecessor, reaching a maximum of 1.25GHz. It also offers a range of power management features to maximize the battery life of mobile devices. It supports 32-bit Power Architecture ABIs, including LE and SPE, plus 64-bit Power Architecture ABIs, including LE and APU.

The P5020NSN1TNB ultra-high-performance, low-power core can be used in a wide range of embedded systems. It is ideal for use in industrial automation, communications systems, server and storage systems, medical imaging and industrial control systems, automotive infotainment systems, digital video recorders (DVRs) and cable/satellite RGUs. It also supports a variety of external peripheral interfaces, including USB 2.0, PCI Express, USB On-The-Go (OTG), Gigabit Ethernet, SATA and SD/MMC. This makes it ideally suited for high performance, low power, embedded applications.
