Working Principle

The PAC50-DGC utilizes a capacitive diaphragm method of pressure sensing. The diaphragm is made from a flexible ceramic material which is enclosed in a robust metal seal. This seal is electrically connected to two electrodes forming a capacitance. When pressure is applied to the diaphragm, it compresses, causing the capacitance to change.

This change in capacitance is then converted into an electrical signal which is proportional to the applied pressure. This signal is then further processed to provide a highly accurate digital output signal. The PAC50-DGC also incorporates advanced on-board diagnostics and calibration capabilities which allow for rapid and repeatable calibration and testing.

The PAC50-DGC is designed for long-term, reliable use and is sealed to IP 68 standards. This ensures that the unit is water- and dust-proof and can stand up to the most extreme environmental conditions. It also features a wide temperature range (-40°F-160°F) and is RoHS compliant.
