This PC3ST21NSZBF unit features two independent High-Voltage channels. The PC3ST21NSZBF 2 Channel Optoisolator was designed to provide a fast response, high temperature performance and quality insulation in an inexpensive, easy-to-use solution. It features a compact package size of only 6.2 x 4.8 x 2.5mm, making it an ideal choice for space-restricted applications. Additionally, it has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. This makes it a versatile choice for use in many environments.
The PC3ST21NSZBF Optoisolator uses an LED on the transmission side to transmit an optically isolated signal to a phototransistor on the receiving side. The transmitting side has an LED assembly consisting of four gallium arsenide infrared (Ga-AI-IR) LEDs. The LEDs are covered by a lens and mounted on a circuit board. Voltage is applied to the LEDs, which then emit light. The light is received by the phototransistor on the receiving side. The phototransistor then turns the received light into current. The current then activates the Triac and SCR outputs on the receiving side, which trigger the application.
