The PCF8575RGER is a high-performance, integrated I/O Expander, included in the interface family of products. It offers an efficient solution for expanding the I/O capabilities of any system that requires both interfaces and UARTs in one package.

The PCF8575RGER allows the user to extend their system’s input/output and serial communication ports with a single device. This I/O expander features 16 bidirectional parallel ports, a selectable UART interface, and a programmable serial output line. Additionally, it requires no external components and creates a low-cost and high-performance solution for expanding I/O capability.

The PCF8575RGER interfaces to 8-bit 8-pin DIP devices. Additionally, the device can be used with 64-bit devices or higher.
