PCF8575DW is a 16-bit input/output expander by NXP Semiconductors. It acts as an output port extender, combining with up to 16 input/output lines. It uses the industry-standard I2C protocol to process data. It can be used in both 8-bit and 16-bit mode, allowing the user to decrease or increase the amount of data sent on each I2C transactions.
