1. Describe

The PGA280AIPW is a high precision instrumentation amplifier with digitally controllable gain and signal integrity testing capabilities. The device offers low offset voltage, near-zero offset and gain drift, excellent linearity, and virtually no 1/f noise, with excellent common-mode and power-supply rejection, enabling high-resolution precision measurements. The 36V power supply capability and wide high impedance input range meet the requirements for general-purpose signal measurements. Special circuitry prevents inrush current from multiplexer (MUX) switches. Additionally, the input switch matrix allows for easy reconfiguration and system level diagnostics - indicating overload conditions. Configurable general purpose input/output (GPIO) provides a variety of control and communication functions. SPI can be expanded to communicate with more devices, supporting isolation using only four ISO couplers. The PGA280 is available in a TSSOP24 package and is specified over the temperature range of –40°C to +105°C.
