The PI3318-20-EVAL1 evaluation board is a powerful evaluation module for DC/DC and AC/DC SMPS (switched-mode power supply). This power supply is designed to meet the growing need for a compact, yet highly efficient power supply. The PI3318-20-EVAL1 evaluation board is a low noise power supply designed for DC/DC and AC/DC applications. It is a high frequency, advanced active-clamp synchronous rectification buck converter. For example, the PI3318-20 can provide up to 97% efficiency at light loads, and up to 90% efficiency at heavy loads. A key feature of the PI3318-20-EVAL1 evaluation board is its working principle. This board utilizes a synchronous rectification topology to provide high efficiency and low noise. Synchronous rectification works by switching the power transistor off at the same time the rectifier diode turns off.
