The PIC16F57-E/SS family of microcontrollers is a cost effective member of the Microchip 8-bit PIC® Microcontroller series. These 8-bit MCUs feature enhanced Flash and RAM memory, rich peripheral sets and communication peripherals with very low power consumption. In addition to being highly cost effective, these devices also offer performance and features that make them suitable for a wide range of applications, including automotive, consumer and industrial applications.

PIC16F57-E/SS microcontrollers are used in embedded systems, such as remote controls and smart meters. They are also used in applications such as automotive body control systems, automotive sensing and power systems, consumer appliances, and medical monitoring equipment. The PIC16F57-E/SS is an attractive option for surface mount technology (SMT) designs and includes an on-chip oscillator, program memory, Flash/EE memory, SRAM and/or ROM, and powerful interrupt control.

The PIC16F57-E/SS microcontroller has a wide range of applications, due to its powerful internal architecture.
