The PIC16LC771/SS is a member of the low-voltage mid-range device family of microcontrollers from Microchip Technology. The PIC16LC771/SS is suitable for a broad range of general-purpose tasks, and provides advanced features such as Enhanced Charge Pump LCD system for Active LCDs. The PIC16LC771/SS also has multiple power saving features such as Timekeeping, Clock Switching and Selective Sleep Modes. It is also available with program memory sizes in the range of 4K to 48K, and with 8/16-bit widths. PIC16LC771/SS integrates on-chip hardware support for up to four external interrupts.

The PIC16LC771/SS is targeted for a broad range of applications, including industrial automation, consumer electronics, consumer appliances and embedded communication. It is also ideal for portable applications thanks to its low power consumption of just 1.8mW while in operation, and can operate at temperatures ranging from 0°C to 70°C. The PIC16LC771/SS has also been designed with a wide range of analog and digital peripherals, making it suitable for applications such as remote sensing, battery monitoring, motion detection, environmental monitoring and more.

The PIC16LC771/SS is based on Harvard Architecture, which is used for both program and data execution.
