PICONYMPHGL is a unique application field and working principle. It is used to perform the production of polyimide-coated metal glass laminates (PICONYMPHGL). The fundamentals of PICONYMPHGL are based on the design of optically transparent protection layers that can be integrated into various substrates allowing the metal glass an efficient and protected working environment. The trilayer composite structure, consisting of a metal substrate, a low-index refractive layer, and a polarization-graded metal oxide, is best suited for PICONYMPHGL applications.
PICONYMPHGL offers a comprehensive solution for transparent glass laminates where light is separated according to its polarization planes. This is due to the continuous and even distribution of the light-sensitive materials of the laminates which cause light to be simultaneously reflected, transmitting, scattered and absorbed. For this reason, PICONYMPHGL provides an ideal solution when applying the like of high contrast organic light emitting diode structures.
The working principle of PICONYMPHGL is based on the use of two-dimensional organic light emitting layers that are directly attached to a transparent conductive glass substrate. The substrate functions as an electro-optical element and a cathode for emitting electrons and phenyl radicals. As electrons emit light of a given wavelength, the glass substrate is designed to display a wide variety of spectral characteristics, allowing for efficient color-sensitive applications.
Moreover, PICONYMPHGL offers additional advantages in terms of mechanical properties. The laminated layer provides excellent mechanical performance and optical control, both necessary factors for operation in extreme temperatures. In addition, the trilayer glass structure prevents the migration of political ions and chemical substances, ensuring a stable functioning.
