Working principle

The PLB1-110 surge protector works by limiting the amount of current that passes through it by providing a short-circuit path for lightning and other transient currents. The surge protector consists of two parts, an overvoltage arrestor and a self-resetting circuit breaker. When the voltage on the circuit exceeds the operating voltage of the arrester, the arrester takes control and limits the voltage on the circuit. At the same time, the self-resetting circuit breaker trips and quickly cuts off the power supply on the line. After the overvoltage has passed, the self-resetting circuit breaker will automatically switch the power back on. This process provides effective short-term overvoltage and current protection for the equipment.
