Logic - Signal Switches, Multiplexers, Decoders have various types of technology applied in many different applications for various industry requirements. The PM5337-FXI is a great example of this, as it is a device that combines both signal switching and multiplexing into one unit. This makes the PM5337-FXI perfect for applications that require a wide variety of inputs while still providing flexibility in terms of output and control. The PM5337-FXI has two main components to its design: a field-effect transistor (FET) and a silicon light-current multiplier (LCM). The FET is used to switch between two different logic states, while the LCM is used to multiplex the input signals. As a result, the PM5337-FXI serves as a three-port switch, taking in the two inputs and outputting them in a multiplexed fashion. The FET is the primary element of the PM5337-FXI and is responsible for switching between the two different logic states. This switch is managed by a voltage source, typically referred to as the “threshold voltage”. The input logic -- a low or a high -- determines which logic state is presented at the output. This floating gate technology allows for the device to remain at a steady state operating temperature, which in turn helps reduce input/output delays, cost, and size. Combining signal switching and multiplexing into one unit allows for it to be an incredibly cost-effective solution for many different industry applications.
