The PR6004-T series rectifier is specially designed for applications requiring low forward voltage drop, high surge current capabilities and low power loss. Its capability of handling high surge current up to 60 times of its rated current makes PR6004-T an excellent choice for the protection of sensitive electronic equipment.The PR6004-T series is a rectifer diode composed of four chips, assembled in an annular pattern, providing a much improved forward surge and reverse surge current handling capability. With or without thermistor input, the PR6004-T series offers perfectly symmetrical output characteristics, such as reverse leakage as low as 10 μA and forward voltage as low as 0.79V.The PR6004-T series is a semiconductor device primarily designed to withstand reverse voltage and lower operating temperature. It uses a proprietary semiconductor with a high melting point of around 740℃ that enables it to achieve higher breakdown voltage. As a unidirectional current controlling device, PR6004-T diodes can withstand surge current up to 60A and have a reverse leakage current as low as 10μA.The PR6004-T series is an ideal choice for applications such as lighting, power supply, motor control, LED, inverters, audio amplifiers, and other consumer electronics, where a higher surge current tolerance is required.
