Optoisolators - Transistor, Photovoltaic Output are isolators that provide electrical isolation between two circuits, by electricity in the form of a light-emitting diode (LED) and a photodiode in the same package. PS2506-1 is an optoisolator family whose output section is a photovoltaic circuit.
The PS2506-1 optical isolator family is designed for communication applications that make use of a two-wire bus. The primary side of PS2506-1 driver is connected to one side of the bus and the MLX90614 temperature sensor is connected to the other side. By controlling the voltage present on the bus, the primary side is able to regulate which signals reach the secondary side.
