PS2532L-1-V-E3-A is an optoisolator transistor-photovoltaic output type with a surge withstand voltage of 5 kV. It consists of an infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a Silicon Photocell. The opto-isolator isolates the input from the output, providing good noise immunity and allowing up to 5000V of isolation voltage. The opto-isolator IC has two terminals; one is connected to the anode and cathode of the photocell, and the other is connected to the ground.

This optoisolator mainly used in the field of industrial automation such as robots, motor drives, solid state relays and process control.
