PS83-102A-R2 is a sensor composed of metal bellow or diaphragm as sensing elements. It is the most commonly used type of pressure transducer, and it transmits the pressure of the measuring medium to the electrical signal through the deformation of the elastomer components. This transducer possess few characteristics which make it ideal for industrial and commercial use and its output is either acquired in 4-20mA or 0-10mA current regulate.

Application field

PS83-102A-R2 pressure transmitters are primarily intended for liquid or gas pressure measurement applications. They are suitable for measuring low pressures in many different types of environments, including adverse conditions such as extremes of pressure and temperature, chemical attack and a wide range of vibration.

These devices are suitable for industrial applications including: machinery, metering devices, process control equipment, motors and tanks; medical applications such as doctors, veterinarians and nurses; research applications in laboratories, universities and schools; automotive applications such as engine control; and marine engineering and nautical anchors.

Working Principle

PS83-102A-R2 pressure transducer works by converting a pressure input signal into an electrical output signal. This process is accomplished by sensing the pressure of the medium and generating a force that is proportional to the pressure. This force will in turn act on a strain gauge that is connected to the medium. The strain gauge will be deformed according to the input pressure, which will in turn create a change in the electrical current being generated.

The electrical current is then measured and used to determine the pressure of the medium. The transducer is designed to remain linear and consistent over a range of inputs. This ensures that the output signal is proportional to the pressure of the measuring medium and the strain gauge is not affected by repeatability.
