Working Principle

The basic unit of PSA08-11GWA LED numerical display module consists of a transparent glass envelope containing a bare chip containing a single LED. The chip is connected to the PCB through surface mounted contacts. The built-in driver circuitry takes in the signals from other electro-mechanical devices and forms a pattern as required. This pattern is referred to as dot matrix display and it is formed by varying the intensity of each LED.

In PSA08-11GWA LED numerical display module, the individual LED\'s can be dimmed for brightness control. The dimming is done by varying the forward current applied across the LED. This current inversely controls the brightness of the LED. This can be used to vary the intensity or color and hence, to produce different kinds of displays.

It also has a wide range of interfaces such as RS232,RS485, I2C, USB and many more. Thus, any type of signal can be used to drive the module. This module can display characters, digits, patterns and other information. It can be used for various applications as per the need and requirement.
