DC-DC converters are power supply components used to transfer electrical energy from one DC voltage level to another with minimal power loss while providing precise control over the output voltage. The PT6302N is one such model and can be used to provide an isolated output to allow long cable runs, apply filters, or provide direct power to multiple isolated loads in sensitive electronics applications. The PT6302N also has a built-in logic which helps to control the switching frequency and output voltage. It has pulse-width modulation (PWM) control with a precision of 0.5%, and over voltage protection (OVP) with a precision of 2%. Moreover, it has a fast transient response time of up to 10μs. This helps the module maintain accurate control of the output voltage over a wide input voltage range, even in environments with extremely high levels of electromagnetic interference (EMI).
