    DC–DC converters are power electronic devices used to connect a source supplying a voltage to a load seeking either the same voltage or a different voltage level. As the name implies, a DC–DC converter converts a DC voltage from one level to another, usually a higher or lower level. The duty cycle is thus adjusted until the output voltage is equal to the reference voltage. This process is repeated continuously and can be used to deliver a wide range of operating outputs.
