Film Capacitors
A film capacitor, plastic film capacitor, or polymer film capacitor, is an electrical capacitor that uses a solid dielectric film of foil as the core of its construction. It is made of thin plastic film and wound in many layers, instead of being built using traditional paper and metal foil components. Polymer film capacitors have a wide range of applications, ranging from audio to industrial, signal processing to filtering, and relay control to overvoltage protection.
PVC1156 application field and working principle
PVC1156 is a polyester film capacitors, made of high quality polyester dielectric material with Metallized technology. It is designed to provide superior performance, superior capacitance stability and long life, great for passive crossover components use. PVC1156 provides solution for power supply filtering, timing and coupling applications.
The working principle of PVC1156 is based on classic capacitor principles, the polyester capacitors have a two electrical plates which consists of two metal conductors covered with a dielectric material. This dielectric material is a thin plastic film with carbon and impregnating material which, when connected with the two metal electrodes, provides for a steady capacitance value. When a voltage source is connected to the electrodes, electric field is generated, and the material between the plates is polarized, producing an amount of energy stored as electric charge in the form of an electrical field.
PVC1156 is designed with excellent capacitance stability and high temperature resistance for harsh environment. PVC1156 manufacturers have improved the quality of the dielectric films, making them more compatible with different kinds of electrical applications.
In many industries PVC1156 capacitor can be used as energy storage device for power electronic circuits, circuit variable filter, circuit pulse transformer, power electronic circuit start up device, power smoothing components, reactive power transformer components, circuit flat output source filter, over voltage protection devices and signal conditioning filter. Due to its high temperature properties, PVC1156 can be applied in automative relays, home appliances as relays and electronic switch as well as other high-grade automotive parts.
