RBO08-40T is an axial leaded TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode which is specifically designed to protect circuits and components from transients. It can keep the circuit stable and safe from capacitor discharges, lightning flashes, inductive switching and other fast surges.The RBO08-40T has a glass passivated junction which helps protect against the worst case transient voltages and corrosion. These devices have a peak clamping voltage of 400V and a maximum knee current of 210mA. They are capable of handling both bidirectional and surge current and can be used in applications with a maximum operating junction temperature of 175°C. As the diode enters conduction, it will clamp the voltage at a value determined by the junction\'s V-I curve.
