Working Principle

The REG104FA-3.3/500 is a linear-regulator type Voltage Regulator. It uses two metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) to operate in a linear mode.When in operation, the device monitors the input current, and is responsible for regulating the output voltage to the desired level. The voltage output is regulated by an internal voltage reference, which is typically 0.45 V. When the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, the MOSFETs supply current to the load.
