It is also capable of withstanding high operating temperature, up to 150°C, thus making it suitable for high-temperature applications.

Working Principle

The RGF1DHE3/67A is designed to ensure low voltage switching and current control. To accomplish this, the diode uses a three-sectional design, consisting of a Schottky rectifier, a diode, and a thyristor. Firstly, the positive input of the diode is connected to the positive side of a DC power source and the negative input is connected to a resistor and then grounded. Secondly, the Schottky rectifier is placed parallel to the thyristor and acts as a protection for the thyristor. Thirdly, the diode junction is placed in between the Schottky rectifier and the thyristor, which prevents the thyristor from being triggered by the Schottky rectifier. This circuit prevents the thyristor from being over-triggered or prematurely activated by a low current surge or limited voltage drop.

Once the circuit is in place, two different types of electrical signals can pass through the junction. When a positive input is received by the junction, the diode converts the signal into a form that can be used by the thyristor. This signal is then transmitted through to the thyristor, which triggers it to turn the circuit on or off. Conversely, when a negative input is received by the junction, the diode shuts off the current and the thyristor is prevented from being triggered.
