Working Principle

The RM48L550PGET is based on the ARM Cortex-M4 processor. It offers 32-bit performance from a 50-megahertz clock, with a high throughput rate of 15.04 MIPS. The processor contains two coprocessors, a floating-point unit (FPU) and a security module (SMU).

The processor also includes an array of peripheral interfaces, including three Serial Communication Interfaces (SCI), four SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) ports, two UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver-Transmitter) ports, one CAN (Controller Area Network) port, one I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) port, and one USB host/device port.

The RM48L550PGET includes a wide range of on-chip memory, including 256KB flash, 32KB of instruction RAM, 32KB of SRAM, 4KB of data EEPROM memory, and 64KB of extended data RAM. It also features four different bus matrix solutions. The bus matrix allows peripheral devices to be connected with different bus types and speeds while achieving high efficiency performance.
