The Raspberry Pi (RPI) is a Mini-computer, a processing device capable of executing basic programming instructions and communicating with a computer system. RPI is essentially a low-cost, self contained computer system, which contains a memory and processor, along with USB and Ethernet ports. As a consequence of this, RPI opens up a wide range of applications and tasks that one would normally associate with a standard computer system. For example, these devices can be used for a range of educational, gaming, communication, and multimedia applications. This configuration is extremely useful for networking and distributed computing tasks, as it can help save time by performing multiple operations in near real-time. From a software programming point of view, RPI devices can also be used to run complex applications, such as Machine Learning (ML) algorithms.
