The inductor element in the module creates a low- impedance path for noise current by inducing signal currents. The capacitor element helps reduce the voltage potential between two points by lowering the resistance in its path, while the resistor element restricts the AC current to reduce the radiation of electric noise from the module.

These three kinds of elements in the RSMN-2030 normally act in collective form in order to achieve the desired interference reduction. By absorbing, reducing and blocking signals coming from outside, the EMI module can effectively reduce conducted noise and radiated emissions, translating into improved power supply stability and better reliability of the connected equipment.
