Once this point is reached, the triggering action will initiate and the current will flow. The current will continue to flow as long as the device is maintained at a temperature above the “Snapback” temperature. As the temperature drops, the device will stop triggering and the current will be blocked.
The S2006V is mainly used in AC power switch applications, such as dimmers and speed controllers. It can also be used in motor control and power factor correction systems, as well as in phase angle controllers and phase control AC drives.
