Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing is a kind of additive manufacturing technology that can convert 3D digital models into physical 3D models. It works by hardening successive layers of liquid photopolymer resin one layer at a time in order to create the desired object. This technology is often used to create 3D parts with fine details such as intricate mechanical parts, medical implants, and other complex designs. The technology of S3D is largely based on the principles of rectification and single diodes.

The basic working principle of S3D is to create accurate three-dimensional models from a two-dimensional digital file. A 3D digital model is created using a 3D modeling software. The 3D model is then converted into a 2D vector file, which is then sent to a computer-aided manufacturing system.
