1. Describe

The SAM8RC Zilog family of 8-bit single-chip complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) microcontrollers offers a fast and efficient CPU, a variety of integrated peripherals, and a variety of mask-programmable ROM sizes. The address/data bus architecture and large number of bit-configurable input/output (I/O) ports provide a flexible programming environment for applications with varying memory and I/O requirements. It includes a timer/counter with selectable operating modes to support real-time operation.
