When subjected to a high-voltage transient, the Silicon Avalanche of the junction wiĺl quickly fire up and discharge the excessive current to ground maintaining the system voltage within its specified limits. The looping is completed through the high ultra-fast breakdown voltage avalanche, diode, and common-mode filters.
