The SC2602LSTRT is a member of PMIC’s voltage regulators DC DC switching controllers and is primarily used in power systems on the market. This device provides cost and power efficient control, current and voltage regulation, switching and protection. Working with a low power external Synchronous Power stage with PMOS (Power MOSFET) or PNP transistors, it is capable of supplying up to 10A of load current and features high performance, energy savings and robustness.The SC2602LSTRT is designed to operate with a wide input voltage range while still maintaining a tight regulation. It also features a dynamic burst mode feature that helps reduce input current during light loads and low ripple currents. The device is able to operate in compensated or linear mode and this permits more precise control and improved transient response. It has a wide frequency range and a built-in fast transient response time.The input source can be an external DC Voltage or an AC line with the selection automatically selected by the onboard DC step up or low drop out regulator (LDO). The output is regulated within a voltage range from 0.96V to 3.45V and has an adjustable soft-start, adjustable current protection and adjustable output voltage slew rate for improved transient response. An internal timer also helps minimize switching losses.The SC2602LSTRT includes a wide variety of features and protection for system operation. The circuit includes an undervoltage lockout (UVLO) that prevents the voltage from falling below a certain threshold and a thermal protection to prevent over high temperatures. It also includes a short circuit protection, a compensation loop to adjust the voltage errors and a power save mode.The device can operate over a wide temperature range of -40°C up to 85°C and it is also protected against load dump and reverse current.The SC2602LSTRT is a versatile and reliable solution for power systems as it is designed to provide cost effective, energy efficient and robust control.
