It is a two-piece connector consisting of a plastic housing with a metal shield that can be used to connect various devices to the computer notebook.The PC Card socket utilizes Gold Contacts which provide superior conductivity and less contact resistance than other materials. The socket also has a locking mechanism to ensure that the PC Card and Peripheral are securely held in place.The PC Card socket also has an integrated Logic powered by 4 control signals.
