SG2525AP is a PWM current mode, voltage mode and auto-skipping switching controller IC. It can provide multiple output mode, phase shift, QR and SR options. The device output is independently adjustable, and the 45V power amplifier can be integrated. Working Principle

The SG2525AP is a high frequency switching power supply controller that uses pulse-width modulation (PWM) to generate output voltage. The power feedback from the output is compared with the reference voltage to adjust the pulse width to maintain the correct output voltage. The SG2525AP is designed to work with a high frequency power transistor, such as MOSFET, IGBT or BJT. It generates a high-frequency switching current and voltage by applying PWM control in the power circuit.

The working process of the SG2525AP is as follows: When the input DC voltage is applied, a constant voltage is detected by the voltage regulator in the controller to turn on the power switch. Protection

The SG2525AP also provides a variety of safety features to protect the system, including over-current control, over-temperature protection, and MOSFET PSP (Protection-Rapid Switching Protection) protection. When the over-current protection device is activated, the output voltage of SG2525AP will be disabled, and after the over-current protection device is reset, the output voltage of SG2525AP can be re-enabled automatically and continue working to protect the system.

In addition, the SG2525AP also provides a soft start function, which can mitigate the inrush current generated when the power is turned on. This can ensure a smooth and constant start of the power supply, reduce the peak current on the transformer, and increase the life of the transformer.
