SG2846DW is a DC DC switching controller type voltage regulator. It has multiple series and versions, providing high current output, low output ripple and multiple external components for adjustable output setting. In addition, it can matching external functional components to realize synchronous rectifier and circuit isolation.
Application Field
The SG2846DW has wide application range in non-isolated low power DC/DC power supplies, automotive power systems, ac/dc adapters, mobile phone charger, notebook power adapters, industrial sensor modules and sys automation.
Working Principle
SG2846DW adopts voltage mode control method. It monitors its input voltage, output voltage and other parameters in the real time and adjusts the working duty cycle of the internal power switch ( M0 ) to realize the output voltage regulation. SG2846DW can provide current-limit and short circuit protection of the output through its limit current detection ( LS ) pins. When the current overloads, SG2846DW reduces the duty cycle of the internal power switch ( M0 ) slowly to reduce the output current gradually.
