Inrush Current Limiters (ICL) are a critical component in many electrical systems. They are used to limit the amount of current flowing through the system, thus protecting components from over-current damage. One type of ICL is the SG308, which is designed specifically for applications where a higher level of protection from over-current damage is required.
The SG308 is a high current Inrush Current Limiter designed to protect sensitive electronic components and equipment from being overloaded. The SG308 uses a two-part winding, with one winding made from a high current-rated stainless steel coil that is insulated by a layer of epoxy between coils. The other winding consists of two coils of copper windings which are joined together by an insulation tape. This is done by a series of anti-surge transistors that are interposed between the timer circuit and the inrush current limiters.
