The SI4744-C10-GM is a highly integrated, wide-band RF receivers specifically designed for AM/FM, HD Radio (TM) digital broadcast reception. It features the highly advanced C10 series IC, which is designed for superior performance across a multitude of applications requiring high-performance RF receiving. The SI4744-C10-GM represents the pinnacle of RF receiver design, providing exceptionally low noise figure, low distortion, exceptional sensitivity and low noise floor.

The SI4744-C10-GM is basically composed by two major parts—the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and the digital baseband processor (DSP). The ADC monolithic architecture incorporates a programmable front-end mixed-signal band-pass filter, a low-noise amplifier, a variable gain amplifier, and a 0.5-µm CMOS, 8-bit, 70-MHz A/D converter. The DSP on the receiver side is a programmable 32-bit processor incorporating memory, a variety of data-converters, an embedded microcontroller, and power management circuitry. The A/D converter performs 8-bit resolution analog signal-to-data conversion and the DSP framework contains integrated ARM Cortex M0 core, on-chip RAM and ROM, and external UART and/or SPI interfaces.

The SI4744-C10-GM offers superior performance along with superb flexibility. It is ideally suited for use in automotive, home, and portable radio receivers. It has integrated demodulation, audio processing, digital IF, and other radio functions in a very low power package. The on-chip digital IF filter generates constant high-image reject ratio without losing signal. The SI4744-C10-GM also features an integrated digital audio output with EQ, loudness, and auto level control functions. Its on-chip DSP offers exceptional RF receiving performance with a pre-programmed optimized microcode, thus allowing exceptionally low noise figure, low distortion, excellent sensitivity, and low noise floor.

The SI4744-C10-GM includes a wide variety of features such as FM and AM demodulation, adjustable gain control, high-IF low-bandwidth filtering, adjustable low-pass filter, and flash/ROM program storage. It also provides excellent sound quality with a variety of features included into the IC including FLO stereo decoding capability, digital bass, treble, loudness control and auto-level control stability. It also provides support for RDS/RBDS data and multi-channel selectivity (MCS).
