SI8284-KIT Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits
The SI8284-KIT is an evaluation and demonstration board which has been developed to allow users to explore, learn and evaluate the capabilities of the system’s newest power-management IC. Based on a popular, powerful and feature packed IC, the SI8284-KIT makes evaluation of the system’s portfolio of complete power solutions easier than ever. The IC inside this evaluation and demonstration board is the SI8284. This IC combines the functions including synchronous buck and buck-boost with controllers, gate drivers, bootstraps and passive components already integrated into the IC.
The working principle of the SI8284-KIT focusses on the features that are available when using the SI8284 IC. The onboard buck and buck-boost convert up to 5 A of output current and supports voltages ranging from 3.3 to 28 V. The IC also features a comprehensive set of protection features including over-voltage, under-voltage, over-temperature, and current limit. The SI8284-KIT also allows users to accurately adjust the output voltage and monitor the system parameters. For efficient and reliable operation, the IC incorporates a built-in voltage-mode PWM which results in fast transient response and dynamic performance.
