Firstly the signal from the outside is received, and the voltage and current are changed in frequency and transferred to primary winding side at the low amplitude. The transformer produces an electromagnetic field that is received by the secondary side, and the voltage and current are then transformed back to the original form at the outside circuit board. In this manner the signal is electrically isolated from the outside and can be transmitted through a secure and reliable interface.
